Tyre Magic is seeking a qualified, experienced Motor Mechanic to join our high-performing automotive team. We’re looking for someone passionate about delivering exceptional vehicle service, diagnostics, and repairs to keep our customers safe and satisfied.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in engines, transmissions, drivetrains, steering systems, braking systems, and suspension

Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tune-ups

Conduct computerised diagnostic tests using scan tools to identify electrical and mechanical issues

Remove, dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble mechanical components such as cylinder heads, pistons, and crankshafts

Install new mechanical components and parts, ensuring proper fit and performance

Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair for optimal operation, using road testing and precision measuring equipment

Perform wheel alignments, balance tyres, and adjust steering and suspension settings

Calibrate and repair vehicle electronic control systems (where applicable)
Inspect completed repairs for quality assurance and adherence to manufacturer standards

Maintain up-to-date service records, job cards, and parts inventories

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations

Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of required work, timelines, and cost estimates

Requirements:

✔ Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
✔ Minimum 1.5 years’ professional experience as a Motor Mechanic
✔ Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostic, repair, and service procedures
✔ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins
✔ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
✔ Valid Australian driver’s licence
