The Opportunity

You’ll join a small, collaborative team dedicated to early intervention and resolution of complex people matters, working across a diverse range of issues from performance and underperformance to workplace conflict and external reviews.

The Role

In this role, you will support the triage and case management of workplace performance and conduct matters.

Other key duties will see you:

• Provide expert advice to the Director and broader stakeholders across a wide range of employment matters
• Deliver guidance on Code of Conduct and performance issues in line with legislation and policy
• Draft correspondence and documentation for complex matters including reviews of action
• Support the management of external body complaints
• Contribute to the creation and improvement of internal policy and frameworks
• Champion early intervention strategies to support a positive and constructive workplace culture

The Ideal Person

You are a forward-thinking and resilient HR or case management professional who thrives in a legislative and advisory setting. With a strong working knowledge of the APS employment framework, you are confident interpreting and applying legislation, policy and procedures.

You are a natural communicator who builds trust quickly and handles sensitive and complex issues with discretion and care. You will bring sound judgement, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to advise and influence with credibility.

Ideally, you’ve managed misconduct investigations or underperformance matters before and are comfortable working within a compliance-based environment. Your ability to provide calm, strategic advice during challenging circumstances will be highly valued.

You will have a current Baseline security clearance, or the ability to obtain.

Salary / Rate

• $100k - $111k + Super
• 12 month non ongoing
• Opportunity for S26 Transfer
