HAYLO People is a specialist recruitment agency supporting the Personal Injury and Insurance industry and are recruiting an opportunity for a well experienced Injury Management Advisor for an ASX listed business in Australia on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the GM Health & Wellbeing this exciting role will be responsible for the management of workplace injuries and illnesses across multiple sites across Australia. You will be supported by a national team of wellbeing advisors, ready to show you the ropes of their diversified operations.

Duties will include:

• Supporting the return to work of injured workers as quickly and as safely as possible back into the workplace.
• Provide technical expertise and support to the business around the best return to work plan for the injured worker.
• You will look for and implement where possible, early intervention strategies to achieve the best outcomes.
• Support cost-effective injury management interventions to best support claim outcomes. Actively understand the impact your role and your interventions have on reducing claims costs impacting premium.
• Support for escalations with regards to pre-employment and annual medical assessments, providing advice and assistance with interpretation and outcome of assessments.

About you:

• Working knowledge Workers' Compensation Legislation and scheme claims models
• Employer based experience preferred but not essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop and influence at an individual, business Unit, state and GM management level
• Proven experience in coaching and training on return to work and rehabilitation programs
• Ability to assist injured workers, and supervisors and managers navigate the workers compensation landscape, including services available within the early intervention program
