Exercise Physiologist - Grade 1

Part time 45.6 hours per fortnight (0.6 FTE)

We are looking for an enthusiastic exercise physiologist to join our Podiatry and Physical Activity Programs team, supporting the delivery of effective, safe and high-quality exercise physiology services.

The Podiatry and Physical Activity Programs team includes podiatrists, exercise physiologists, a physiotherapist and Social Support Group staff who work collaboratively to improve the health and wellbeing of clients and the community.

The position works across a number of Bendigo Community Health Services sites and other locations, facilitating a range of exercise physiology services and programs, including group strength training, 1:1 consultations and other specific exercise groups.

A tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or equivalent is required for this position, as well as current registration with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Community Health Centres) (Multi-Employer) Enterprise Agreement 2022-2026.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology (equivalent or higher).

Current registration with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

Demonstrated experience (including through placements) in providing sensitive practice in response to client preferences, needs and diversity.

Demonstrated experience in working as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

The ability to build and develop positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to obtain Medicare Provider numbers for relevant locations prior to commencing in role.

A current employee Working with Children Check and Driver’s Licence.

Current First Aid and CPR.

The successful applicant will also be required to undertake and complete a Satisfactory National Police Check.

Desirable

Demonstrated understanding of the social model of health.

Intermediate skills (or higher) in Microsoft Office programs.

Experience in working with electronic client management systems.
