About the role

Maroondah Osteopathy & Sportscare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis in Ringwood North, Victoria.

The role is varied and encompasses musculoskeletal pain, women's health issues, sports performance from ages pre - teens to the elderly. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing tailored exercise programs to support the rehabilitation and wellbeing of our amazing patients!

What you'll be doing

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' physical and functional capabilities

Develop and deliver customised exercise programs to address the unique needs of each patient in 1:1 situations and conducting small group classes.

Monitor patient progress and adjust exercise plans accordingly

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to patient care

Provide education and support to patients and their families to encourage adherence and promote long-term lifestyle changes

Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field

Accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)

Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing evidence-based exercise programs for a variety of patient populations, including those with chronic conditions or injuries

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and motivate patients and ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry best practices
