Sexual Health Nurse (New Position)
Part-Time: 22.8 hours per week | Fixed-Term: 18-month contract

About the Role
As a Sexual Health Nurse, you will provide specialist nursing care and education, focusing on the prevention, management, and treatment of Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Your work will help ensure that community members feel safe, respected, and empowered to take charge of their health.
About You
· Registered Nurse with AHPRA and have a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience
· Accredited Nurse Immuniser.
Knowledge and skills:
· Ability to create a safe, welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their health.
· Understanding of Aboriginal health programs and support services for STI management.
· Strong relationship-building skills, including culturally appropriate communication.
· Ability to explain diagnoses, treatments, and prevention strategies clearly.
· A holistic approach to care, addressing physical, social, emotional, and cultural needs.
· Experience in sexual health education and prevention campaigns, including youth and school-based
programs.
