Working across the Riverina Murray with our team of Work Pathways Coordinators, you will be key in the delivery of the delivering the Burrabinya – Leap to Your Future program in Young and Harden and NSW Work Placement Coordination Program in Young and surrounding areas, connecting with local schools and students, business partners and industry to ‘Promote Successful Futures’.

Additionally, the role facilitates Career Development and Wellbeing programs, activities and events with a diverse student audience.

This position is 22.8 hours a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays) until 31/12/2025. Continuation will be dependent on performance and achievement of established KPIs. Full training provided.

Our ideal applicant:

• You are an excellent communicator with outstanding customer service skills.

• You are an organised person with high level administration skills, you pay attention to detail, and you are very skilled in time management.

• You have had previous business, trade or customer service experience.

• You have the ability to work independently, remotely and as part of a regional team

• You are confident to deliver programs to small groups of students and young people.

• You have excellent presentation skills with small or large audiences.

• You have a basic understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in schools.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Have a desire to work in a positive, youth focused organisation.

• Provide friendly and professional customer service

• Bring your innovation, creativity and problem-solving skills to the role to provide youth opportunities and overcome workforce challenges in the Young region

• NSW Work Placement Coordination Program – arrange Work Placement opportunities and present work readiness sessions in schools and COMPACT offices

• Build and maintain working relationships with local schools, business and industry and community.

• Program Delivery - career development and wellbeing programs to students and young people

• Administration – accurate record keeping and reporting

• Social media support – assisting with content creation

• Events support – assisting with organising and managing events

• Other duties as directed

Essential Criteria:

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage and recognition by your community

• Previous business, trade or customer service experience

• Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.

• Demonstrated computer literacy with high proficiency in MS Office suite, including OneDrive and Outlook, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, self-manage, prioritise tasks and meet strict timelines.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team to achieve organisational goals.

• Provide Working with Children Check clearance under the Child Protection Working with Children Act 2012: See link: https://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au

• Agree to have an Australian Federal Police Check

• Be able to work within a Child safe organisation.

• Provide Current NSW Driver’s License Class C and unblemished Certified driving record: See link: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/request-driving-record
