Business Performance Project Specialist

  • $133,944.00 per annum + 11.5% superannuation
  • Full Time, ongoing opportunity
  • Wadawurrung Country / Geelong based role (hybrid model, work from home, 3 days a week in office)

About the role

The Business Performance Project Specialist reports into WorkSafe's Director of Business Performance and is responsible for working with the Business Performance team and stakeholders across WorkSafe to effectively support the alignment or programs and projects to the performance framework.

This includes identifying and measuring benefits realised through WorkSafe's performance, driven from the new capability delivered by our strategic program.

The role will also be responsible for managing WorkSafe's Benefits Management Framework and supporting the improved enterprise focus and understanding of performance, through the delivery and realisation of benefits.

Key accountabilities

  • Support the development of the Strategy and Corporate Plan, ensuring clear linkages of our programs and projects to our strategic objectives.
  • Partner with business owners and key stakeholders to identify and measure the impacts of programs and projects. Support business owners in the monitoring and evaluation of realised benefits, including identifying opportunities to improve performance, and maximise benefits.
  • Deliver progress reporting of the realisation of benefits recorded in the Benefits Register, ensuring appropriate attention is drawn to benefits at risk of realising agreed benefits at the appropriate portfolio or enterprise steering committee.
  • Be accountable for the continuous improvement of the Benefits Management Framework and the supporting tools and processes, including maintaining the central Benefits Realisation Register.
  • Support Business Performance Partners in the identification and development of key performance indicators and measures of success for key business functions and initiatives, ensuring that a benefits perspective has been addressed, and there is alignment to the WorkSafe Strategy and Corporate Plan.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated extensive experience with performance measurement/evaluation, benefits realisation and/or risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret a large range of data to effectively report on benefits realised, identify key risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ability to liaise and consult with employees and management at all levels of the organisation, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective writing skills, including the ability to prepare concise briefing documents, reports and communications to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
