Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Leadership & Growth Role

Location: Sydney, NSW

Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

About Us:

Engage Kids OT is a growing paediatric occupational therapy practice dedicated to providing high-quality, client-centred care. We are looking for a motivated Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to help drive our expansion while mentoring and supporting a strong team of OTs and OTAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with onboarding new clients and occupational therapists.

• Train and mentor new employees, ensuring high clinical standards.

• Provide supervision and professional guidance to junior OTs and OTAs.

• Support business growth by helping to scale revenue and onboarding at least two OTs. (The more OTs onboarded, the bigger the bonus—starts at $20K and is separate from quarterly bonuses.)

• Engage in structured mentoring and leadership training to support professional development and career progression.

• Run and facilitate professional development sessions for the team.

• Develop and implement clinical programs to enhance service quality and client outcomes.

• Strengthen referral networks by building relationships with schools, paediatricians, and other professionals.

About You:

• Minimum four years of paediatric OT experience with a passion for leadership and mentoring.

• Strong clinical skills with experience in supervision and training.

• Business-minded and motivated to contribute to company growth.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• AHPRA registered and eligible to work in Australia.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1. Onboarding & Retention of OTs – Successfully onboard and mentor at least two OTs per year, ensuring retention and professional growth.

2. Revenue Growth Contribution – Assist in scaling Sydney-based revenue, with progressive targets over three years.

3. Training & Supervision – Provide structured training, mentoring, and supervision to junior OTs and OTAs, ensuring at least 80% of junior staff meet performance benchmarks.

4. Professional Development Leadership – Organise and facilitate at least four internal professional development sessions per year to enhance team skills.

5. Client Satisfaction & Referral Growth – Maintain 90%+ client satisfaction scores and actively contribute to expanding referral networks.

Incentive Plan (3-Year Growth & Bonus Structure):

This plan rewards performance based on business growth, leadership, and professional development contributions. The incentive is separate from quarterly bonuses.

Year 1:

• Client-Facing Work: 90%

• Revenue Goal: $500,000 (Sydney-Newcastle-Hunter Valley, including OTs onboarded)

• Bonus: $20,000

Year 2:

• Client-Facing Work: 75%

• Revenue Goal: $750,000

• Bonus: $30,000

Year 3:

• Client-Facing Work: 60%

• Revenue Goal: $1,000,000

• Bonus: $50,000

Bonus Growth Linked to KPIs:

• Meeting at least 4 of 5 KPIs = 100% of the bonus

• Meeting 3 of 5 KPIs = 80% of the bonus

• Meeting 2 or fewer KPIs = 50% of the bonus

As the client-facing workload decreases, the role will transition into a senior leadership and business development position, with increased responsibilities in team management, training, and strategic growth.
