We're on the hunt for an Occupational Therapist Friend to join our team! We work with children with developmental delay and disability who are primarily aged 0-7 years old. We are open to both established paediatric Occupational Therapists or therapists looking to transition into paediatrics. We provide extensive mentoring and training to help our team provide the best evidence based care to our kiddos.

About us:

We are on a mission to raise the bar of paediatric therapy in Canberra. We have seen too many children participate in years of ongoing weekly therapy and have seen too many therapists get burnt out with repetitive caseloads. We aim to provide short to medium term intervention that focuses on supporting families to be the implementors of their child's therapy and modifies the child's environment to better support their physical and sensory needs. We provide (actual) evidence based practice to support children to thrive and achieve their goals.

Most of our appointments are clinic based, although we do some school visits from time to time. We've significantly reduced our school visits this year as we've endured too many small/loud/non-optimal therapy spaces and we've found it's trickier to communicate treatment plans with families.

Currently, we are a small (fun and youthful) team consisting of 6 Physiotherapists, 1 Occupational Therapist, 2 Allied Health Assistants and Administration Support. We are looking for someone who matches our vibe and shares our joy of working with families. We are keen to hear from both new graduate Occupational Therapists and experienced Occupational Therapists wanting to switch to a career in paediatric therapy. We would love to support a new graduate or early-mid career therapist through our extensive training program to start mid year 2025!

We are searching for a passionate Occupational Therapist who shares our excitement for clinically reasoned and holistic patient care to take on a diverse case load of children with disability, developmental delay, musculoskeletal concerns and continence concerns. We are committed to ensuring that all our therapists see a varied caseload rather than the same caseload ongoing to provide opportunity for learning, developing clinical skills and ensuring every day is different!

Full training and support for the role will be provided. New grads are encouraged to apply for the role.

We are looking for someone:

With an Occupational Therapy degree, AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Who has an open drivers license

Who has a Working with Vulnerable Peoples card in both ACT and NSW (or willingness to obtain)

Who is open to learning new things, enjoys a coffee + walk and enjoys working in a collaborative team

Who is looking to develop their clinical reasoning skills and implement evidence based practice

Competitive Renumeration Package of 76k-85k Salary (New Grad) + Superannuation + 2.5k FTE Professional Development allowance
