Regional Sales Manager – Rental - Mining & Civil Infrastructure

  • A leading national equipment rental provider
  • North of the River HQ - covering WA (approx. 2 weeks/month regional travel)
  • Salary: $200k–$220k + 30% bonus + $22.5k car allowance + fuel card + super

OUR CLIENT
Our client is a leading Australian equipment rental provider specialising in heavy earthmoving and site equipment for the mining, construction, and infrastructure sectors. Established in the 90’s, they have grown to operate a large, modern fleet of over 300 units, servicing major contractors and mining companies across Western Australia and nationally. Known for their reliability, flexible rental solutions, and strong regional presence, they continue to expand their footprint with a focus on innovation and customer service.

THE ROLE

  • Based in their North of the River HQ, your main responsibility is to lead and grow business in WA, focusing on equipment hire: access equipment, material handling, lighting towers, generators, earthmoving, compressors, pump solutions, containers, and site storage.
  • Manage a high-performing team (currently 4, including major account managers).
  • Set and execute strategy alongside the General Manager to expand market share within the Mining and Civil Infrastructure space.
  • Drive new business and manage/coach your team (increasing as you grow the team).
  • Oversee P&L for your division and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Engage with procurement managers, project managers, business owners, and area superintendents across construction, mining contractors, and infrastructure sectors.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Proven success in sales and business development within equipment hire, construction materials, mining, or related sectors.
  • Strong WA network, especially among contractors and subcontractors in mining, construction, and infrastructure.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to articulate value, ROI, and competitive advantage (e.g., decarbonisation, speed to market, WA branch network).
  • Team-oriented, stable track record, grounded, reliable, and an excellent communicator.
  • Experience managing teams and driving results through others.
