We are currently seeking a Team Leader Electronic Collection in our Electronic Collection Unit (ECU) as part of the Integrity Division. The LECC’s ECU provides multiple operational, technical and compliance services in support of investigations. Our unit employs specialist staff who work in a highly controlled and sensitive environment.

About the role

Working as part of the Integrity Division, the Team Leader Electronic Collection is responsible for managing the allocation of ECU resources to effectively coordinate the operational activity of the unit.

The role also directly manages all ECU aspects of Telecommunications Data access and the International Production Orders in support of LECC criminal investigations.

In addition, the role provides warrant administration and evidentiary production support to the Compliance Officers and coordinates ECU policy and procedures.

About You

Out ideal candidate will have:

• Highly developed communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Experience in operational environments.
• The ability to interpret and apply legislation.
• Have a strong knowledge of the requirements of the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979, the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act (NSW) 1987, Surveillance Devices Act 2004 (Cth) and the Surveillance Devices Act 2007 (NSW) or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.

Eligibility

• · To be eligible to apply for this role you must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident.
• · The LECC Act 2016 (Sec 21) prohibits the appointment of current and former sworn members of the NSW Police Force or NSW Crime Commission to this role, however current and former civilian (unsworn) employees of the NSW Police Force and NSW Crime Commission may apply.

Security vetting

• · A probity assessment to establish reliability, trustworthiness, integrity and suitability of employment. In addition, LECC officers are also required to obtain a commonwealth security clearance, with the Team Leader Electronic Collection requiring clearance at a NV1 classification.

Flexible Working Arrangements

· The LECC offers flexible working arrangements, however the Team Leader Electronic Collection role operates within a sensitive operational environment and is expected to work onsite at the Commission’s offices in Sydney’s CBD four days per week.
