Treasure Boxes is a South Australian, not-for-profit, grassroots children's charity dedicated to increasing the safety, wellbeing for vulnerable and at-risk new-born babies and young people up to the age of 17 in South Australia.
Our core service provides essential children’s goods to families at risk of poverty and homelessness, fleeing domestic violence and support for minority groups. Coupled with a strong environmental focus as it rehomes preloved items, Treasure Boxes is one of SA’s fastest growing children’s charities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Embark on a role where you, as one of our Warehouse Coordinators, are the operational core of our Edwardstown site. As a Warehouse Coordinator, your primary role revolves around the seamless coordination of quality control processes, managing and distributing donated goods in alignment with the business needs and services. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, other Warehouse staff, and volunteers to maintain all functions of the warehouse, including inventory management, dispatch, picking and packing. Ensuring that we operate in compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) protocols and foster a welcoming, friendly, and professional culture.
The position is permanent part time, 25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday with some Saturdays required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure Work Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Manage capacity planning activities including inbound donations, internal transfers and replenishment between warehouses, dispatch and stock transfers to our Northern site
Create and coordinate replenishment tasks to ensure adequate inventory for picking and all aspects of quality control
Manage referrals and requests from picking to dispatch
Manage inventory shortages and overflows in consultation with Warehouse Manager and other Warehouse staff
Work with and direct volunteers to ensure the optimal sorting and distribution of donated goods to their highest value use
Supervise and direct volunteers in the warehouses, including workflow, task prioritsation and ensuring safe work practices
Schedule logistics to ensure maximised delivery operations and efficiency
Proactively identify opportunities to increase efficiency of warehouse operations
ABOUT YOU
Essential Criteria
Team Leadership experience in a warehouse environment
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a warehousing/storeperson role
A good level of physical fitness for manual handling
Exceptional personable manner suitable to working with a diverse volunteer team, visitors and staff.
Current Australian Drivers Licence
Has previous experience in preparing documents including consignment notices, stock reports and general correspondence where required.
Has a strong passion and drive for helping to support the community.
Highly developed oral, written and interpersonal skills
A friendly disposition with a positive "can-do" attitude
