We are seeking motivated, flexible and passionate Support Workers to join our team. We have casual roles with a variety of shifts available on weekdays, weekday evenings and weekends across metro Melbourne.

About the role

Work directly with people with disability in their homes and the community, providing practical support in all areas of daily life

Provide support for people to engage in community based activities, employment, shopping or attending appointments

Assist with light household tasks, personal care, meal planning and preparation

Engage with a range of stakeholders including family, health professionals, other support staff

Maintain accurate daily records of the support you provide, including incident reporting

We are also seeking support staff for participants who want people to join their team on an ongoing basis. These locations include. South Eastern suburbs.

Skills and experience

Desirable

Experience working with people with complex behavioural and communication support needs will be highly regarded, but not essential. We provide ongoing support and a range of training for the right people.

Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health or similar

An understanding of the principles of active support and positive behaviour support

Essential

Right to work in Australia

NDIS Workers Screening Check/willingness to obtain

Current First Aid and CPR

Basic computer skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Unrestricted drivers licence

Regular access to a reliable vehicle
