Band 4 Salary: $71,433.96 - $76,185.72
An excellent opportunity is available to join the Animal Management team as Animal Attendant on a permanent full-time basis.
About the role
As Animal Attendant, you'll manage the responsibilities and duties of the Latrobe City Councils Pound's Operations as specified in the Victorian Government's Code of Practice for the Management of Dogs and Cats in Shelters and Pounds.
You will also manage the Councils animal adoption program and undertake relevant administration duties.
In this role, you'll have the chance to directly influence promote and educate the community on matters relating to the responsible ownership of pets.

You'll need
- Well-developed animal handling skills and previous experience working with animals.
- Able to demonstrate self-motivation and self-discipline in work undertaken.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis in the areas of building effective relationships, consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution.
- A current Victorian driver's licence.
The successful applicant is required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check.
