About the role

Join the team at Merivale Farms' as an Animal Attendant / Maintenance. This full-time role is based in Allora, QLD and involves caring for and maintaining the health and wellbeing of the animals on the farm. As a vital member of our close-knit team, you will play a key part in supporting our farming operations and contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

Providing daily care, feeding and monitoring of all farm animals

Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of animal enclosures and surrounding areas

Assisting with routine health checks, vaccinations and other veterinary procedures as needed

Performing basic maintenance and repairs on farm equipment, including welding, fencing and facilities

Helping with general farm duties such as mowing, weeding and grounds keeping

Reporting any issues or concerns to the farm manager in a timely manner

Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in an animal care or farming role

Practical skills and knowledge of animal husbandry, maintenance and farm operations

Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare

Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of farm work

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for agriculture and the outdoors
