The Opportunity

Full-time, Fixed Term Contract from mid-June to December 2025.

We are currently seeking an experienced, Business Administration Roster Officer to join our residential aged care facility. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer you will create, publish and manage the rosters for our frontline teams – ensuring that all shifts are filled through dealing with leave, training and new starter induction.

Work individually and as part of a team in line with skill, competency and training under the direction of management to:

Support Human Resources in achieving the required goals and outcomes

Maintain and create relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Other tasks may include:

General Office Administration

Support the business administration operations and management team

Coverage of Reception duties as necessary, including lunch breaks

Ensuring all rostered shifts adhere to the budgeted roster

Ensuring roster is complete four (4) weeks in advance

Provide sick leave, annual leave and overtime analysts to the manager

Advertisement and filling of vacant lines

Ensuring afterhours staff have the tools to fill unexpected leave

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Advanced computer skills

About you:

You are a people person with great computer skills and love finding solutions to issues rather than focusing on the issues themselves. You understand how systems talk to each other and understand the relationship between rostering and payroll. As a people person, you enjoy coming into the home and working closely with everyone.

Ideally, you will come from an aged care or health related background and have experience in rostering over a 24/7 environment.

This is the role for you, if you have:

Previous rostering experience in a high volume, fast paced organisation.

Previous budgeting and care minute experience (preferred), including understanding the link between rostering & budgets, while ensuring all rostered shifts adhere to the budgeted roster. Escalating, where required.

Experience in Aged Care (preferred)

Inerva experience (preferred)

Experience in an administration/ office role.

Strong communication skills to ensure appropriate collaboration, and liaison with staff, human resources, Payroll and management.

Organisational, prioritisation skills and an ability to multi-task.

Have full Australian working rights

A current National Police Check, or a willingness to obtain one

COVID vaccinations including booster

Influenza vaccination (preferred)
