About the Role:
As the Digital Learning Designer, your role will be instrumental in implementing the development of digital teaching and learning resources and materials for young people in Melbourne's North and as part of the Tech School’s Remote and Virtual delivery initiatives in metropolitan and regional areas. You will be responsible for championing excellence in learning, utilising the range of leading technologies.
Duties:
Project manage the development of high-quality, visually engaging and interactive digital learning resources and educational programs, ensuring the needs of Tech School stakeholders are met.
Actively investigate and remain abreast of the latest developments in digital learning systems, providing advice and recommendations to enhance the policies and programs of the Tech Schools.
Design, develop, present, or publish high quality, strategically aligned, user-centered digital curriculum resources, including program templates and modular support materials.
Work collaboratively with Tech School staff and partner schools in the development of learning materials for a wide range of STEAM programs, for both teachers and students.
Engage with and consult a range of stakeholders, including Melbourne Polytechnic Digital Learning Environments, industry, community and the wider Tech School network to achieve objectives within agreed timeframes, providing regular progress updates.
Upskill and onboard TS staff with the use of learning platforms and technologies.
Contribute to the Tech School’s strategic direction by researching and evaluating emerging instructional online and platform agnostic technologies and tools, including Learning Management Systems (LMS)/ Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).
Implement digital learning platforms with supporting recommendations for their use; conduct user experience testing and ensure that more complex teaching, learning, and evaluation activities are supported.
Analyse data to create quarterly reports on digital learning platforms, specifically focusing on user engagement, use frequency and volume, and user feedback.
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that digital solutions meet MPs standards and requirements.
Liaise with partner schools to coordinate enquiries and bookings for online programs.
Facilitate high quality programs in virtual and blended learning spaces, and face-to-face, as necessary.

Skills and Experience Required:
A degree or postgraduate degree or qualification in learning design or other relevant qualifications; or considerable workplace experience in the design and development of online educational resources; or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been gained. A Bachelor's Degree in instructional design is highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of instructional/learning-design principles, best practices for e-learning, course materials and evaluation techniques, and experience with their implementation in diverse environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in using a variety of learning and content management systems, presentation and authoring tools, graphic-design programs, web conferencing and social platforms, and familiarity with emerging technologies.
Demonstrated ability to confidently communicate technical concepts and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including young people, teachers, industry and government to achieve objectives.
Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of formal or informal learning activities/workshops.
Demonstrated highly developed digital, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, under pressure, in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks and work to competing deadlines.
Experience in agile, design thinking or entrepreneurial methodologies highly desirable.
