We’re on the hunt for Operations and Business Development Manager who’s passionate, proactive, and strategic — someone who can lead the day-to-day and strategic operations of our business and shape our service excellence, drive team performance, and uphold our commitment to dignity, autonomy, and cultural inclusion for every client.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on attracting new clients and expanding our reach in aged care. You’ll lead strategy, outreach, and stakeholder engagement efforts to increase referrals and job flow. You will provide leadership to a growing team focusing on client outcomes, quality, standards, growth, and performance of our in-home care services across Australia. This role would suit someone who has the drive and commitment to take our client focussed aged care programs to the next level.
To be successful in the role, you must be able to:
Develop and execute growth strategies in line with business goals
Build and nurture relationships with referral sources, case managers, coordinators, and providers
Generate new leads and attract jobs through networking, marketing, and direct outreach Grow sales and develop our business
Source new clients and customise our services to meet their needs
Create and maintain excellent relationships with existing customers
Prepare and conduct presentations to key clients/contacts/interested parties
Proactively following leads through to closure of the sale
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal & external stakeholders
Create a strategic approach in identifying new opportunities and solutions
Attend industry trade shows, conferences and expo's & be available to travel when required
Implement local business development strategies that contribute to the positive and sustainable growth and diversification
Lead and integrate daily operations, workforce management, client services, compliance and continuous improvement.
Oversee all functions aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards (ACQS) and maintain strong Star Ratings performance.
Partner with the Clinical Care Coordinator to ensure excellence in clinical care, medication safety, and client well-being
Monitor occupancy, optimise HCP funding, and support financial sustainability in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
Ensure high-performing teams through effective leadership, recruitment, training, and performance development.
Drive a positive, respectful, and inclusive organisational culture rooted in Gratitude’s philosophy of care
Support strategic projects, quality systems, infection control, audit readiness, and regulatory engagement
Provide coaching, support and advice on complex client needs, service delivery issues and critical incident response
Drive change and a culture of continuous improvement within teams
Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with key stakeholders and partners
About you:
A Registered Nurse with Operations Manager experience.
Experience in a senior operations management role with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary operational practices and frameworks (highly desirable).
Experience in the Aged Care industry and familiarity with the Aged Care regulatory framework is (essential).
Knowledge and application of the AN-ACC is desirable.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of quality standards and accreditation.
Demonstrated experience to effectively manage and implement change to achieve organisational objectives.
Excellent people management and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to coach, inspire and mentor staff.
Strong planning, time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and lead projects.
High level interpersonal, written, presentation and negotiation skills including ability to liaise and negotiate with key stakeholders.
