Business Development Manager – Design & Construction
Our client is a leading national commercial construction business specialising in high-end design and construction projects. They seek a talented Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team and help grow and develop business in the WA and SA markets.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Client Relations & Business Development, you’ll be the face of the business – nurturing relationships with architects, designers, project managers, and commercial tenant reps and play a key role in securing project specifications, preparing client presentations and tenders, helping to convert project leads into active opportunities through well-executed sales strategies and client presentations.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing commercial clients
Identify project opportunities and convert leads into design engagements
Deliver face-to-face and online client presentations
Support the preparation of bids, tenders, and marketing collateral
Collaborate with marketing and lead generation teams
Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and CRM records
Manage client events and follow-up activity
What We’re Looking For
3+ years’ experience in business development, sales or client relations – ideally within construction, fit-out, architecture, or project/design
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Well presented with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence in managing multiple stakeholders and nurturing long-term accounts
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office and CRM tools
Knowledge of design and construction processes.
Understanding of the construction, architectural, or metalwork sectors
