Rapidly expanding civil construction business with a dynamic team of 40 +staff. They are growing their team with this role to report directly into the Commercial Finance Manager. You will be trained, mentored and developed by an experienced and approachable senior finance leader. It's a close and connected team that enjoys working in the South Melbourne office together! Responsibilities

The key focus areas for this opportunity are -

Reconciling Xero transactions

Balance sheet reconciliations

BAS statement preparation

Creating payments

Accounts receivable

End to end Accounts payable

Payroll (they will train you on payroll processing. Straight forward and small part of role)

Ad hoc tasks supporting the business

Background

Xero experience essential

Business/Accounting Degree or Diploma qualified would be advantageous

1 to 5 years experience in either an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or other accounting support role

Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliations, BAS advantageous. They will train you if you have some relevant experience but have not covered all responsibilities listed above

Excellent communication skills

A strong desire to learn and develop
