The team is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Accountant to join the growing needs of the finance team. Working directly with the Finance Manager to deliver strong accounts support through:

What you’ll be doing:

· Assisting with the preparation of financial statements – including balance sheets and profit and loss statements

· Month-End Accounts – Assisting the Finance Manager with monthly reporting

· Payroll – Weekly processing of payroll for 3 companies

· Forecasting and Budgets – Supporting the budget and forecasting process

· GST/ BAS returns – Assisting with quarterly returns schedule

· Financial Analysis – Assisting the Finance Manager in detailed analysis of various projects

· Data Entry – accurately inputting financial transactions into MYOB/Xero, including invoices, receipts and payments

· Accounts Payable/Receivable – Processing invoices, generating customer statements, and managing accounts receivable collections

· Bank Reconciliation – Daily bank reconciliations and managing cash receipts

· General Ledger Maintenance - Maintaining accurate general ledger records by classifying transactions appropriately

· Administration Tasks – Managing multiple email inboxes, filing documents, maintaining accounting records, and providing support to the accounting team as needed

What We're Looking For:

· A university degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar)

· 2-3 years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role

· Proficiency with MYOB and Xero

· TMS and Weighbridge system knowledge preferable

· Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

· Expertise in Microsoft Office

· Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail

· Dependable, punctual, and quick to adapt
