Payroll and Accounts Officer
We are seeking an Experienced Payroll and Accounts Officer to join our Victorian team. The position is full time (Monday to Friday).
The position is hybrid, with work mainly at your home and visits to our Hallam/Epping offices. Laptop is supplied. This role reports to our Administration Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and reconcile financial transactions using Xero
· Preparing Cash and Bank and Point Of Sale (and Cost of Sale) Reconciliations
· Prepare weekly payroll in Foundu, superannuation payments
· Prepare BAS and liaise with our external accountant as required
· End of month reconciliations and supporting processes
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies
· Journal preparation & processing.
· Generate monthly financial reports
· Identify and implement process improvements in bookkeeping and reporting workflows
· Assist with end-of-year financial preparation
· Assist with general office administration as needed
The successful applicant with have similar proven experience in a Payroll & Accounts role
Solid accounting or bookkeeping technical knowledge.
Previous local bookkeeping experience or relevant qualifications. Specific training will be provided.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Experience in use of Xero, Foundu, Retail Express will be highly regarded
Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.
