About the area
The WA Agricultural Research Collaboration (WAARC) is a state-wide strategic alliance between the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), CSIRO, Grower Group Alliance (GGA), Murdoch University, Curtin University, and The University of Western Australia (UWA). WAARC is reinvigorating WA’s agricultural research ecosystem by aligning research with industry priorities and enabling world-class, applied research across the supply chain. WAARC connects researchers, growers, and industry to deliver practical impact for Western Australia’s agricultural sector.
About the opportunity
- Lead the design, implementation, and strategic oversight of WAARC’s Capacity Building and Extension Program, ensuring alignment with sector needs.
- Establish and manage WAARC’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework, ensuring consistency across all projects and activities.
- Design and manage a Postgraduate and Scholarship Program to develop future talent in agricultural research and extension.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in designing and managing Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks for a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to design and lead a Postgraduate Program, including scholarships and research supervision pathways.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across a multi-institutional, industry-connected environment.
- Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and reporting capabilities.
- Strong communication and advocacy skills, including report writing and industry engagement.
Special Requirements
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to travel interstate occasionally.
