Role 1: Maintenance Technician

Ideal for: Qualified fitters or maintenance techs with strong fault-finding skills and a willingness to get involved

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and automation systems across high-volume plastics production
• Strip down and service tools between changeovers
• Troubleshoot production issues to get lines running again fast
• Collaborate with operators, setters, and engineers
• Perform light machining or component fabrication when needed

What You’ll Need:

• Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or similar)
• Experience in plastics, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing
• Strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on initiative, and solid communication

Role 2: Tooling Technician

Ideal for: Toolmakers, Die Setters, or technically-minded team players with injection moulding experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve tooling faults, hot runner issues, and wear-related failures
• Manage tool breakdowns, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Assist with tool changeovers and tooling improvement initiatives
• Liaise with external toolmakers and coordinate repairs when needed
• Support technical leaders with commissioning new tools and upgrades

What You’ll Need:

• Toolmaker trade qualification (or equivalent hands-on experience in tooling)
• Understanding of injection moulding and stack tool systems
• Confidence working with 1.5–8 tonne tools and identifying root causes
