About the Position

Based in Knoxfield, VIC, this permanent full-time position is responsible for ensuring our products are manufactured to meet our high quality standards.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Fitter & Turner to join our manufacturing team. This dual-focus position is crucial to maintaining our high standards in steel frame production and ensuring our machinery operates at peak performance. You'll spend approximately 60% of your time fabricating steel components and 40% conducting preventative maintenance on production equipment.

This role is based on our day shift - Monday to Friday : 6:24 am – 2:30 pm.

Some overtime and weekend work is available on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities of this Position include, but are not limited to:

Preventative Maintenance (40%)

Conduct routine checks on CNC routers, roto-moulding machines, hoists and other production equipment

Maintain and repair roto-moulding tools

Grease equipment, inspect belts, identify pneumatic leaks

Keep tools and machinery in working order

Support general facility maintenance (safety barriers, bollards, racking)

Manufacturing & Production Support (60%)

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime

Read and interpret engineering drawings for fabrication and repairs

Cut, prepare, and assemble steel components

Modify and replace parts to meet operational needs

Machining & Fabrication

Operate lathe and milling machines for part fabrication

Perform MIG welding for frames and repairs

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance (preferably in manufacturing).

Competency in CNC machinery, pneumatic systems, and hoists.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Skilled in MIG welding, lathe and milling machine operation, and steel fabrication.

Strong troubleshooting abilities and a team-first attitude.

Have a dedication to high quality and safety standards and enthusiasm for continuous improvement

Physically fit to work in an environment requiring lifting up to 20 kgs.

Preferred Qualifications

Certificate III or IV in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting & Turning, or a related trade.

Current Forklift License (desirable).
