We have a client based in Sydney who has a number of maintenance contracts in the Melbourne metro area. Currently there is an opening for a site based Mechanical Fitter for a company in the Sunshine area. We need to fill both a day and afternoon shift.

The role encompasses general routine, preventative and reactional maintenance fitting of plant and machinery. Ability to use manual machines, such as lathes and mills, is required as is the ability to weld.

For both roles a good attitude and sound work ethic are requisite.

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Cert III Mech Eng, Fitter Turner, etc or equivalent
• Experience of fitting in workshop environments
• Fault finding ability
• Experience with hydraulic systems and components
• Ability to use conventional machines
• Other tickets and qualification such as Fork, EWP, etc highly regarded
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics
• Good work ethic, time keeping and reliability
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Work with safety of yourself and your colleagues in mind at all times
