About the role

Discover Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Teacher (or someone working towards their qualification) to join our team at our centre in Kelmscott, WA. This is a full-time role where you will play a vital part in providing a nurturing, engaging and high-quality early learning environment for the children in our care.

What you'll be doing

• Plan and implement a play-based learning program that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework to support the holistic development of children
• Observe, document and assess children's learning, development and wellbeing, using this information to inform your teaching practice
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families, promoting open communication and collaboration
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that meets all relevant health, safety and compliance standards
• Work closely with your fellow educators to deliver a cohesive and consistent educational approach
• Participate in ongoing professional development to continuously improve your practice

What we're looking for

• An approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification or working towards one
• Experience in an early childhood education and care setting, preferably in a teacher role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and families
• Thorough knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills to engage young children in meaningful learning
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the highest-quality care
• Current working with children check and first aid/CPR certification
