As we continue to grow our operations in NSW, we're looking for an experienced Fire Technician to join our Sydney team in a full-time, permanent role.

About the Role
As a Fire Technician, you'll play a key part in the delivery of fire protection services across a range of commercial and industrial client sites throughout Sydney and regional NSW.
This is a field-based role with flexibility and autonomy, backed by a reliable operations and admin support team.
You will be responsible for:
· Inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of fire protection systems and equipment including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, extinguishers, emergency lighting, and EWIS systems
· Identifying faults and non-conformances, troubleshooting issues, and completing minor upgrades or rectifications
· Ensuring all systems and reporting meet AS 1851 and other relevant Australian Standards
· Documenting all inspections and test results clearly and accurately
· Supporting clients with technical advice and contributing to improved fire safety outcomes
· Travelling between client sites, mostly within Sydney Metro, Central Coast, Newcastle and Maitland regions
You'll work a 40-hour week (7:30am–3:30pm), with two hours per week accruing towards your RDO. You’ll also have the flexibility to take the work vehicle home for ease of travel.
What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:
· Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing (or equivalent)
· Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar Fire Technician role
· Solid working knowledge of Australian Standards such as AS 1851, AS 2118
· Strong technical skills across systems including:
o Fire detection and alarm systems
o Sprinkler systems, hydrants and hose reels
o Emergency warning and intercom systems (EWIS)
o Emergency lighting and exit signage
o Fire extinguishers and suppression systems
o Fire doors and passive fire protection
· Confident fault-finding and basic programming capability
· Ability to work independently, manage time well, and communicate clearly
· Comfortable using digital reporting tools (iPad provided)
· Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Additional Requirements:
· Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia (no sponsorship available)
· Able to obtain a Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
· Physically fit and comfortable working on various sites including at height
