About the role

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Total Care Data Specialist to support the delivery of GS1 Australia's Total Care service. In this newly created, client-facing role you will be a key player in supporting clients to maintain and share their Product Master Data, Pricing Data, and Product Images with their trading partners, leveraging GS1 Services.

Examples of key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for your assigned Total Care clients.
  • Working closely with internal GS1 teams to ensure the effective delivery of data validation, analytical reviews, data quality reporting, and client data maintenance for Total Care clients.
  • Interpreting Data Quality reports to help clients identify issues and take actionable steps to improve the accuracy and integrity of their data.
  • Providing pre-sales support to assist in client engagement.
  • Onboarding new Total Care clients, ensuring a smooth and professional process.
  • Drafting proposals and recommendations for data quality improvement projects.

We follow a hybrid work model of three in-office days and two remote days. You will be required to work from client sites as needed, and this will count toward your in-office days. All clients are based within the Melbourne metro area, and toll costs incurred for business-related travel are reimbursed.

Skills and experience

To be consider for this role, you must be able to demonstrate previous experience analysing and interpreting complex data sets, strong problem-solving capabilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently with Total Care clients from day one, so the ability to hit the ground running is essential.

In addition, we are seeking candidates who possess the following:

  • A professional and collaborative approach to working with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Sound understanding of project management and change management.
  • Previous experience writing procedures, technical documents, quick reference guides or similar.
  • Confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to communicate effectively in the language of suppliers and clients.
  • Candidate with experience in the FMCG sector, ideally in a category management or data/product management role, will be highly regarded.
