Your Future is Energy Queensland

Energy Queensland, and our operational brands: Energex, Ergon Energy Network, Ergon Retail and Yurika, are at the frontline of progress. As Australia’s largest government-owned electricity organisation, we serve people and communities across the state and beyond.?

Here, you’ll help us deliver reliable energy solutions for our two million customers.

Join us as a Data Warehouse Specialist (internally known as Data Operations & Quality Specialist) and amplify your impact.

Your Opportunity

You’ll join the Customer and Emerging Platform Services group who supports our non-regulated businesses to deliver solar and wind farm projects, smart-metering, electricity distribution, and B2B telecommunication services.

As Data Warehouse Specialist (internally known as Data Operations & Quality Specialist), your ability to design, implement, and operate large-scale data platforms and pipelines will be key to Energy Queensland’s continued success and growth.

Based in our Brisbane (Newstead) office, you will specialise in safeguarding the quality and consistency of data assets to facilitate accurate, data-driven decision making across the business, helping to position EQL as a responsive and competitive market player. This sees you being an expert in moving data from Point A to Point B, allowing product owners to effectively report on data to inform their operational and strategic planning.

You’re dedicated to building and operating various data products related to the systems and applications within EQL’s non-regulated platforms. Working across various portfolios, you will manage key data sources where a typical day involves:

  • Monitoring the health of existing data flows and processes.
  • Undertaking ongoing maintenance and required enhancements of data systems.
  • Utilising appropriate tooling to model, visualise and ingest data into relevant products.
  • Working efficiently through the backlog of new data topics and solutions requested by product owners to aid in their operational optimisation. ?

With either a 9 or 10 day fortnight in place, the bottom of the salary band starts from $158,595 for 9 days and $179,213 for 10 days + 14.75% superannuation.
