THE ROLE
We are seeking a proficient and motivated Civil Designer with 1-5 years' experience to join our Civil Design team in a full-time role. In this role, you will be working on the civil design for a wide range of public infrastructure projects such as roads, paths, carparks, sporting facilities, stormwater, water and sewer infrastructure. You will be supported by a friendly, knowledgeable, and inclusive team with opportunities for professional development. Key responsibilities of the role include:
Undertaking concept and detailed engineering designs using industry software such as 12d or Magnet;
Drafting and production of design drawings using AutoCAD;
Experience in DRAINS software is desirable but not essential;
Providing technical advice to others based on Austroads Guidelines and Australian Standard requirements;
Preparation of design reports and Safety in Design reports;
Liaison with sub consultants and clients throughout the design stage; and
Undertake periodic site visits to scope projects and resolve issues.

Bridge Knowledge is an engineering consultancy providing services across Bridge, Road, Civil, Structural and Flood Studies to the government and private sectors. This role is within the Civil Design team and is required due to the growth of the business. We have offices in Coffs Harbour, Grafton and Lismore and the role would be available at any of our offices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Possess a minimum tertiary education of Certificate IV in Civil Construction Design, or similar;
1-5 years industry experience in civil design and competent in using civil design software such as 12d (preferred) or Magnet;
Able to work independently and within a team;
Good understanding of the Australian Standards and Austroads Guidelines;
Excellent communicator - able to interact with people of all levels in a confident and professional manner;
Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word;
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail, a solution based mindset and a focus on accuracy and efficiency;
Good time management; and
Some experience in establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with colleagues and clients;
