Civil Designer – Join a High-Performing Engineering Team in Gordon

We’re seeking a talented and detail-driven Civil Designer to join our growing team in Gordon, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a range of commercial, industrial, and urban projects, working across all phases of design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply relevant legislation, statutory obligations, and industry standards to civil design projects

Assess planning layouts and develop design strategies to meet project specifications

Independently manage and deliver civil design work with minimal supervision

Prepare complete documentation packages and drawing sets for review

Collaborate closely with Department Managers, Engineers, and the Civil Drafting Manager to meet project timelines

Liaise with drafters and designers to ensure smooth project execution

Review and check drawings for compliance with codes, standards, QA, and drafting practices

Maintain high drafting quality and attention to detail

Deliver documentation and drawings on time, every time

Key Requirements:

Proficiency in Civil 3D or 12D, and AutoCAD is essential

Experience in site grading and familiarity with AS2890 and Austroads guidelines

Strong understanding of drainage, roadworks, and structural civil documentation

Ability to customise templates and develop efficient design workflows

Previous experience working on road design and urban development projects

Excellent communication skills and ability to keep stakeholders informed

A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation in design
