About the Role

You will handle a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, working with high-profile businesses, franchisors, and corporate clients. The role involves:

• Franchising disputes, including disputes arising from the Franchising Code of Conduct.
• Real estate commission, acquisition and rent roll disputes.
• Breaches of restraints of trade arising from employment matters, sale of business and shares.
• Retail and commercial leasing disputes, including mediation with the NSW Small Business Commissioner and litigation in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and superior courts.
• Contract disputes and breach of statutory warranties under the Australian Consumer Law.
• Intellectual property disputes, including oppositions to trademark registration and applications for revocation.
• Building and construction disputes, acting for builders and developers.

Requirements:

• 2-10 years PAE + Litigation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial litigation.
• The ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to work effectively with clients.
