About the Role:

As a Pastry Chef at Fides Bar and Grill, you will play a vital role in creating our delightful Turkish pastries and desserts. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and baking a variety of Turkish cakes, cookies, pies, puddings, and other desserts following authentic recipes.

• Kneading, cutting, and molding pastry dough to create visually appealing pastry goods.

• Selecting, weighing, and mixing ingredients, as well as preparing delicious pastry fillings.

• Controlling baking times and temperatures to ensure the highest quality outcomes.

• Decorating and plating a range of pastries and desserts to enhance presentation.

• Ensuring the correct, safe, and economical use of kitchen equipment.

• Preparing requisitions, ordering food and supplies, and taking inventory.

• Managing daily kitchen operations, including supervising, recruiting, and training staff.

• Maintaining strict kitchen hygiene in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Benefits and Perks:

We offer a competitive salary package between $60,000 to $80,000 for the right candidate.

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Certificate III or IV in Patisserie or a related field.

• Previous experience in preparing Turkish pastries and desserts.

• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food production.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to be reliable and responsible.

• The ability to thrive under pressure and work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
