Our head office is located in Pakenham, however we have other office locations in Melbourne. There will be a requirement to work from the Pakenham office 1-2 days a week.

Role Description

Develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned estimating projects for construction projects

Monitor project budget to ensure all expenditures are within the allowance

Revise estimates and implement required changes

Finalise and present tenders to the director

Provide advice and cost-planning information on a day-to-day basis

Identify and learn customer requirements for bid purposes

Maintain client relations by being the lead contact of proposals for clients

Manage subcontractors inclusive compiling scope of works, tender packages, reviewing and vetting contractor quotes

Establish and maintain a network of local suppliers and subcontractors

Participate in pre and post-bid meetings as required

Manage multiple bids and perform as the liaison between estimating team and the director

Collaborate and coordinate with the various departments and their leaders

Developing project plans and timelines, including project objectives, deliverables, and milestones.

Managing project teams and coordinating the efforts of team members to ensure that the project is completed on schedule.

Communicating with the client to understand their needs and objectives, and to ensure that the project is meeting their expectations.

Managing project budgets and financials, including tracking project costs and managing project finances.

Identifying and managing project risks, and developing and implementing risk management plans.

Managing project change requests and ensuring that changes are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.

Coordinating and managing project testing and quality assurance activities.

Leading project closeout activities, including finalizing project deliverables, conducting project evaluations, and documenting project results.

Providing guidance and mentoring to project team members, and ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to complete their tasks.

Continuously monitoring project progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure that the project is on track to meet its objectives.
