Due to new exciting projects our client seeks an experienced and results-driven Client-Side Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of residential developments and subdivisions. In this role, you will represent the client’s interests, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will work closely with developers, consultants, contractors, and local authorities to manage all aspects of project delivery from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Feasibility: Conduct feasibility studies, site analysis, and financial assessments to determine project viability.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact between the client and external consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
Approvals & Compliance: Navigate planning approvals, building codes, environmental regulations, and local government requirements.
Design & Engineering Coordination: Work with architects, town planners, surveyors, and engineers to ensure design alignment with project goals.
Budget & Cost Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Contract Administration: Oversee procurement processes, tender evaluations, and contractor negotiations.
Construction Oversight: Monitor construction progress, manage site inspections, and address any issues affecting project timelines or quality.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks to prevent delays and budget overruns.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all works meet the required standards, codes, and client expectations.
Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular project reports to stakeholders, detailing progress, risks, and financial performance.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in project management for residential developments and subdivisions.
Strong knowledge of land development processes including infrastructure design and strategies.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with local council and relevant authoirty processes and managing approval outcomes.
Excellent budgeting, forecasting, and financial management skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work autonomously and drive projects forward while managing risks.
Proactive and detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Property Development, or a related field.
PMP, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project management within the residential development sector.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
