Essential Skills and Experience

• Fabrication Trade Certificate (essential)
• Proven leadership experience supervising tradespeople and apprentices
• Extensive experience in manufacturing and assembly of new equipment, especially service trucks and water carts
• Strong fabrication and welding skills, with a commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with precision
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• A proactive, safety-first mindset with a clean and organised work approach

Required Tickets and Licences

• Confined Space ticket
• Working at Heights ticket
• Forklift Licence
• Overhead Crane/Dogging ticket – mandatory (or willingness to obtain)
• Weld test required as part of the interview process

Your Role

• Lead and support a team of fabricators and trades assisting with the design and manufacture of water trucks, service trucks, and custom mining support vehicles
• Oversee day-to-day workflow, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Support and train apprentices while maintaining strong attention to safety, productivity, and quality
• Be actively involved in hands-on fabrication and assembly tasks as required

About Who You Will Work For A respected WA-based company with over 80 staff and $15 million turnover, specialising in the design, manufacture, repair, and refurbishment of purpose-built support vehicles for the mining and construction industries. Their work includes service trucks, water carts, crane bodies, and mining buckets, serving Tier 1 clients across the state.
