About the role
As a Passenger Communications Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Customer Strategy and Communications branch by helping to develop and deliver timely, clear, and customer-focused information—particularly around service changes and disruptions. You’ll assist in creating communication plans, coordinating digital and print materials, and liaising with external agencies to ensure accurate public transport information is delivered across multiple channels.
In this dynamic role, you’ll also help manage website content, maintain up-to-date disruption notices, support digital projects, and contribute to marketing campaigns. You’ll evaluate communication effectiveness, assist with customer feedback responses, and coordinate the production and distribution of visual assets across the Transperth network. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-paced team that keeps passengers informed and engaged.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:
Strong skills in producing clear, engaging content across platforms; experienced in communication and advertising campaign development and evaluation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in web-based CMS platforms; familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign, and digital analytics tools is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail; able to build relationships and resolve issues through sound analysis and research.
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities; self-motivated and effective working both independently and in team settings.
