With a strong pipeline of projects secured, we’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join the team and play a vital in role in the delivery of a $25m Apartments project in Caloundra.

The Role

• Day to day management and supervision of all site activities
• Programming and co-ordination of sub-contractors, suppliers, and materials deliveries.
• Challenge and improve methodology to enhance outcomes
• Scheduling trades to ensure maximum flow and productivity
• Liaison with client ensuring successful delivery of project to schedule
• Oversee TA to manage safety inductions and toolbox talks
• Management of the construction program and 4 week look ahead, reporting to the Project Manager
• Daily site diary, weekly programme meeting with PM & subbies
• ITP’s and quality management through the build
• Liaison with the commercial team to identify variations and claims
• Problem solving, proactive planning and forward thinking
• Driving progress and performance on site, support subbies to deliver work efficiently and effectively
• Management of costs and opportunities for value throughout the build

The Person

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on Multi-Level Apartment projects – 6+ levels up, with 2+ basement levels.
• Expertise in managing key targets of quality, safety, cost and time
• A driver – push programme, seek out efficiencies, maximise productivity
• Key focus on sequencing of trades and ability to maintain progress and momentum as issues arise
• Proficient with usual programs – Microsoft Suite, Procore, Smartsheets (programming), Sign Onsite (safety)
• Expertise on Structure – essential
• Set the tempo and momentum
• Relationship driven and ability to build rapport and trust with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other AKAM staff
• Excellent work ethic and builds a high performing, proactive working culture on site
• In depth knowledge with building codes, standards and methodologies
• Solutions-driven approach, with the initiative to solve problems and manage conflict
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Someone who enjoys overcoming challenges as a team, and contributing to a social, engaging culture and environment on site

• Immediate interview & a start pending notice period
• $160,000 - $190,000 + Super
