About the Role:
As a Desktop Assessor you will be responsible for reviewing assessors' works, assessing insurance claims, determining coverage, providing detailed repair scopes, submitting accurate quotes and estimates, giving feedback and support to help aid and upskill fellow workers. We have one position available!
Key Responsibilities:
Report and Scope reviews, Quality and Compliance checks
Follow up assessors on outstanding/overdue claims to ensure submissions meet KPI.
Conduct Virtual Assessments of insured properties to determine damage
Create detailed and accurate assessment reports, scopes of works and quotes on covered damage
Identify difference between insurance related damage and maintenance
Provide performance feedback, identify training needs, and facilitate implementation to the Assessing Team Leader
Work closely with the Repair Coordination team to offer support and advice
Provide advice on NCC, Australian Standards and contractual WHS requirements
Key Qualities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional presentation
Ability to provide a high level of customer service
Strong work ethic and highly motivated
Willingness to work with the team and constantly improve performance
A positive "can do" work ethic and willingness to work flexible hours and change routine from time to time
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Required Experience:
Previous experience working as an Insurance Building Assessor
Be familiar with WHS practices, legislation and regulations
Computer literate with knowledge in the use of Outlook, Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous trade background preferred
Current and Valid Driver's license
Experience working with the Prime platform
