Medical Secretary

Full time – 5 days per week

Location: SJOG Murdoch Medical Centre for A/Prof Matthew Lawson-Smith.

Our practice is currently searching for an experienced Medical Secretary or Medical Receptionist, to work Monday to Friday.

This person must be able to handle a busy clinic, work well under pressure and have some flexibility when needed.

NECESSARY EXPERIENCE:

Efficient running of administrative secretarial/reception tasks;

Able to run a clinic with autonomy if needed;

Able to perform a clinic in Subiaco, 1- 2 clinics in a fortnight and the occasional Mandurah Clinic.

Experience with Workers Compensation;

Experience with Genie and Microsoft Office; Genie experience will be looked upon favourably.

At least one year’s experience as a medical secretary or receptionist, GP receptionists are encouraged to apply as we are willing to train the right candidate;

Have an excellent phone manner;

Must have their own car and drivers license.

Have attention to detail;

A quick learner;

Able to deal with many tasks at once and work well under pressure;

Have forward thinking and planning skills;

Be able to make correct decisions regarding administrative duties or have the ability to know when to ask for help;

Flexible to change with implementation of new procedures, documentation and workplace changes, as well as start or stay back when needed;

A good grasp of the English language - both written and oral;

Well-presented in a corporate office environment and have a very strong work ethic;

Not afraid to ask questions!

The role will have a probationary period (outlined if successful for an interview). There is paid parking onsite ($5.00 per day) and we are also easily assessable by public transport.
