Urgently hiring experienced Youth Disability Support Workers based in Hillcrest.

About the role:

To support the participants in home and out in the community.

To know and understand the care and support of the participant

To undertake the tasks detailed in the participants’ Care Plan using a person-centered approach and in the least intrusive way

To provide personal care and support to participants with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities

To use manual handling equipment safely and correctly

To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the participants

To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with participants & stakeholders

Job Details:

Qualification Requirement: Cert 3 in Disability / Individual Support

Experience in youth / child disability support work is essential

Experience working with Cerebral Palsy would be an advantage

Experience using a hoist is a essential

Manual handling experience is essential

Medication management

Meal Management

Skills : Communication, Proactive, Leadership

Pay: Competitive rates based on SCHADS

Expected Hours: 16 - 28 hrs per week

Minimum availability 4 shifts per week

Required Licenses/Certifications: Full Driving Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening, Police Check

Work Authorization: Australia (Required)
