The Role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis and play a vital role in ensuring our organisation adheres to all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements for the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Initially, we are looking for someone who will work equivalent to 0.2 FTE (7.6 hours per week) with the potential to expand hours as we grow. Salary range is inclusive of superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a deep understanding of the Standards for RTOs and other relevant legislation impacting the VET sector.

Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework for the organisation.

Conduct regular internal audits to identify and address any compliance risks.

Assist in the preparation and submission of all required documentation to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) on time and to a high standard.

Liaise with ASQA and other regulatory bodies as required.

Participate in the provision of internal compliance training and advice to staff/ contractors on compliance matters.

Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation and regulatory requirements.

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for the organisation's compliance framework.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of all necessary documentation related to training delivery and compliance.

· Write policies and procedures to support compliant work activities.

Lead validation activities across the scope of learning products.

Work collaboratively to support sustainable systems and frameworks to meet quality, risk and compliance objectives

Identify potential risks, recommend strategies to mitigate and provide support as required.

Work with the team to ensure management of feedback and complaints through to completion.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within an RTO or educational setting.

Previous experience in an RTO or in the electricity supply industry would be an advantage.

Strong understanding of current RTO standards and ISO compliance requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
