About the role
The AOD Counsellor role will be part of a multi disciplinary team offering comprehensive assessments, treatment and care for individuals affected by substance misuse. The AOD Counsellor will ensure that the clients of the service are supported throughout their recovery journey. The position will operate within a harm reduction framework that incorporate client-focused and holistic recovery principles.
Salary based on years of experience in line with EBA.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Relevant AOD Counselling Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years experience working as an AOD Counsellor
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
