AOD Recovery Coach

The Hader Clinic is a world class drug and alcohol rehabilitation service that operates in Geelong & Essendon, Victoria.

We are currently only recruiting personnel who have lived AOD experience, are in recovery for more than twelve months and have knowledge of the 12 step philosophy to join our team. Please write a cover letter outlining lived experience.

Recruiting for both our Geelong and Essendon facilities

We are looking for skilled and motivated AOD recovery coaches with lived experience to join our multidisciplinary team.

Their primary role will be to provide peer support, facilitate groups and accompany our clients to and from community meetings.

Our Lived-Experience team is expanding peer support into new areas of service delivery. We require passionate and dedicated personnel who must have lived experience and knowledge of the 12 step philosophy to join our team.

About the facility

The Hader Clinic facilities are located in Geelong (29-bed in-patient hospital rehabilitation clinic) and Essendon (25-bed in-patient therapeutic rehab). Our primary goal is to fully relieve suffering addicts and families from the pain of active addiction. We provide clients and their loved ones with a gateway to recovery that aids not only a drug and alcohol free life, but a life where they feel like they can achieve their full potential.

About the role

We have flexible roles to support our 24/7 clinical program. The ability to work with clients to achieve their goals is paramount. You may be looking for a full time, part time or casual support role. You may have experience as a recovery coach or not, if no experience then you must have lived AOD experience and have gone through the 12 Steps.

Qualification Requirements

Ideal but not essential to start. A minimum of a Cert IV in AOD or Mental Health or studying same

Current Driver's Licence

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
