About the Role
They are seeking Australian-qualified commercial lawyers to join our team on a casual basis. This role is ideal for legal professionals who are looking to supplement their existing income or work more flexibly without the pressures of billable hour targets or business development.

You’ll be engaged to support a range of general commercial legal matters, with work allocated directly by the Law Practice Director. There is no requirement for client-facing responsibilities — your focus will be on delivering high-quality legal work within your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements

Assisting with general commercial matters, including corporate structuring, advisory and transactional work

Working on commercial leasing, M&A, and building and construction matters (preferred)

Managing your workload efficiently and meeting deadlines

Producing clear, practical, and commercially sound legal advice

Requirements

A minimum of 4 years’ post-admission experience (4+ PQE) in commercial law

Current, unrestricted Australian practising certificate (mandatory)

Solid experience in general commercial law is essential

Experience in one or more of the following is highly regarded: M&A, commercial leasing, contract drafting, or construction law

Ability to work independently with high attention to detail

Own laptop and secure internet connection

Comfortable working remotely and using online practice management systems
