The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Catering & Hospitality Officer to join the Corporate Support team, providing a critical service in the delivery of internal corporate and council catering services.
You will demonstrate excellence in client service, ensuring seamless delivery of all catering requirements including internal corporate requests and for council meetings, whilst ensuring established service level standards are consistently met and associated administrative duties are actioned accurately and in a timely manner.
This full-time role requires the successful candidate to be available to work between the hours of 8am and 5:30pm. On days where council meeting catering is not required, the hours of work are generally 8:30am to 4:30pm. When council catering is required, the hours of work include up to 5:30pm (generally on Monday and Tuesday evenings).
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Providing a high level of food and beverage service, including food preparation; room set-up; post meeting clearing and cleaning, in a prompt, professional and friendly manner. This includes for morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas and council related dinners.
- Coordination and liaison with external catering providers for council dinners.
- Ensuring staffroom and council room amenities are appropriately stocked at all times.
- Coordinating the booking of meeting rooms and ensuring meeting rooms are clean and tidy.
- General administrative duties.
Skills and Experience
This position will suit adaptable and experienced individuals who enjoy variety in a busy and change-driven organisation. Applicants must be able to demonstrate through their application that they meet the following requirements:
- Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
- Experience in catering (corporate environment highly desirable).
- Enjoy working with people and pride yourself in excellent customer service skills, within a professional / corporate environment.
