We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team at Lake Hume Holiday Park, on the shores of Lake Hume, a 30-minute drive north-east from Albury.
This is a live-in position. As a Park Support Officer, you will receive a remuneration package comprising an annual salary of $60,000 plus Super and accommodation, including utilities (electricity, water, and gas). The accommodation is a 2-bedroom cabin.
You will work under the supervision of the Park Managers and help take care of the park during the managers’ days off.
If you have a partner looking for work, we may have some casual work for them, helping with housekeeping, the café, and the reception.
What we seek:
This position is for one person who is happy to work in a diverse role since the work will involve general maintenance, gardening, cleaning, and reception tasks.
We are looking for someone with a hands-on approach and an outgoing personality. You must be comfortable operating tools and equipment, cleaning the amenity blocks, handling some guests' enquiries, and working with our reservations management system.
Previous experience in the role is not required since training will be provided.
The role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance and Grounds: ensure the cabins are in optimal condition of repairs, the grounds are always neat, and the park facilities and equipment are properly maintained and serviced.
Cleaning: assist the team with cleaning BBQs, camp kitchen, and amenity block when required.
Reception and Reservations: manage bookings, calls, and daily reception tasks, and handle cash deposits
On-call night shift: after-hours emergency phone some nights per fortnight.
Customer Service: deliver high customer service, help guests with their queries, and ensure they have an enjoyable stay.
Problem Resolution: swiftly and effectively address and resolve any concerns or issues raised by guests and other general problems that originate at the park.
Skills and experience:
A trade certificate is desirable but not essential
Good handyperson skills
Ability to operate plant and equipment
Strong multitasking and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities
Proficient computer skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to different situations
Effective problem-solving skills
Understanding of WH&S responsibilities
Physically fit with a 'can do' attitude
Current driver's licence
Additional information:
To become an employee of our business, you must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to obtain this at the commencement of your employment.
