We are seeking an ethical and self-motivated individual to fit within the positive, team- based culture of our practice. We are a tight knit team who cares about the quality of the work we produce.

About the Role:

The position is for a full-time experienced Advisor Assistant / CSO role (4-5 days) designed to release the Principal Financial Adviser to see more clients. You would be required to work 30-38 hours per week, Monday – Friday, depending on the experience, availability and requirements of the applicant. Your role will be to work alongside the Principal to deliver financial planning services.

The role is expected to support the Principal in all ‘post initial meeting’ activities.

Duties would include:

Attend ‘new client’ appointments to observe and prepare comprehensive file notes

Maintain and manage client data in Platform Plus/ other software

Prepare financial planning research such as Personal Insurance Quotes, Product Research, Super Contribution Data, Comparison Reports and Projections for advice formulation

Prepare Record of Advice and projection/modelling documents

Liaise with internal and external Paraplanners and support staff to generate advice documents and manage workflow

Review Advice documents to ensure they are high quality and compliant

Basic client correspondence via phone and email

Manage the implementation of advice and associated processes, beyond presentation.

Ensure ‘Advice’ is delivered in a compliant manner and managing associated checklists

Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, and industry specific software (such as XPlan, Platform Plus, MidWinter, other).

Other relevant duties as requested

Develop tools and processes to streamline advice delivery / Support the Principal

The role would suit:

An experienced CSO/ Paraplanner

An ex-Financial Advisor who is looking to work in a support role

Your Capabilities:

High attention to detail

Positive and flexible attitude

Able to build and maintain relationships with staff and clients

Excellent written skills

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Highly organised, ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks

Proactive and able to problem solve

Able to work autonomously and complete tasks without supervision

Able to build and maintain relationships with staff and clients

You have worked in the industry for 3-5+ years and have experience in Financial Planning tools. (Midwinter highly desired)

Remuneration is negotiable based on prior experience and ability to undertake the role. The office has ample street parking and is close to the Train and Bus transportation. We believe in great coffee.
